Samuel is a photographer and art historian specialized in large format analog photography who builds his own field and Minutero cameras: the BESTA brand. In 2017 he began shooting portraits of people dressed in 1920s and 1930s costumes in historical fairs, first with field cameras and a portable darkroom, until he built his own Minutero camera.
It is a small and lightweight camera, with interchangeable lenses. This camera does not have a reproduction arm to copy negatives because its workflow is based on Ilford’s direct positive paper. Everything he needs for a work day on the street fits inside this camera / laboratory / suitcase.
