Rodrigo is an Argentinian-born Associated Press photojournalist. He has won numerous awards with his stunning work in Peru, Guatemala, Venezuela, Haiti, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and many other places. He purchased an original Afghan Box Camera in Kabul in 2006 and has produced stunning portraits such as his series of sugar cane workers in Guatemala. His father’s friend Luis de Leo built a copy of the Afghan camera for him in 2014 and he has worked with it ever since. “The final results, the portraits, are amazing! You create a deep connection between the photographer and the subject. The atmosphere that is created throughout the process with this camera is incredible.”
