Landry purchased a Box Camera in Kabul in 2006. At first this was only as a decoration for his home while living in Kabul, but he soon started to roam the streets using it. During his time in Afghanistan, he created fascinating portraits of people and their lives. Landry has experimented with the box camera in places he has lived such as Thailand and now the USA. He is a photo artist practising collodion, cyanotypes and other alternative photographic processes. “My pictures are more of an Object to be touched rather than an imprint of light on a sensitive surface.”
