Boxcameracouple is a photography duo consisting of Ronja Hermann and Ben Maier. Since 2023, they have been approaching portraits with a self-built Afghan box camera. Their love for alternative photography drove them to master the process of creating box camera photos. They are able to maintain a balance between technical aspects and interesting compositions. Whether in the streets or on Swiss mountaintops, they identify their way of working with the slow photography movement, which can be seen as a counter-culture in comparison with present-day photography. Ronja and Ben work and live in the countryside of southern Germany, and they are always happy when people ask to have their portrait taken.
