Cuban-born Jorge Luis takes pictures with his ´´camara minutera´´ on the streets of Barcelona. he built it in March 2019. Jorge studied photography back in Cuba, stepping into the footprints of his father who was a photographer as well. In Europe he met an old friend from Cuba, David Berenger Garcia, who worked with a box camera and decided he could build one too. Working in a restaurant in a kitchen and with help of his photographer friend Roger Guerra they raised the money to build it. ”It was a long journey, but when I finished I was really happy with the result- doing something you love and getting paid for it is priceless.”
